I'm not a size 4 and I have a postpartum tummy. Will it really look good?
Yes. It was made for bodies after kids, not for catalog models. Inside, a compression band holds in your lower belly and lifts your waist, and the sewn-in cups support a bust that changed with breastfeeding. Sizes go from XS to 6XL, and the shaping works the same in every size.
Will it turn see-through when I get out of the water?
No. It's an 82/18 double-layer fabric, fully lined over the tummy and bust, so you come out of the water as covered as you went in.
Is the band too tight to breathe or eat?
It holds your lower belly and hips firmly, but you can breathe normally. It shapes; it's not a corset, so lunch at the beach restaurant is fine. If it ever feels too tight to breathe, it's too small. Send it back and get the next size up.
Can people see or feel the cups?
No. They're sewn in, not tucked into loose pockets that roll up in the wash or twist when you swim. Under the outer fabric they feel like a lined bra, not two floating discs.
How do I pick my size? Usual size or one up?
Stick with your usual size. It shapes you without squeezing you a size down. Between sizes? Size up if your bust is bigger than your hips, and down if it's the other way around.
Can I breastfeed in it?
No. There's no nursing opening, since it's a full-body shaping swimsuit. While you're nursing, a proper nursing swimsuit makes more sense. This one is for afterward, when you want to jump in with the kids and not think about your body.
Is it machine washable, and does it handle chlorine and salt?
Yes. Machine wash it in a mesh bag on a delicate 30°C (86°F) cycle, with no fabric softener and no dryer. Rinse it in fresh water after the pool or the sea (good advice for any swimsuit), then lay it flat in the shade. It dries in 3-4 hours. Look after it like this and the Lifetime Shape Warranty covers the shape: if normal wear costs the band its compression, we replace it.
